Mad Party - Red or White? Chapter 2

Ritsu: ♪~
Arashi: You're here late, Ritsu-chan. I started to think the student council caught you.
Tsukasa: Tori-kun didn't do anything to you, did you? I do hope he released you without harm or foul...
Ritsu: Yeah, no worries.
In fact, I've managed to put a collar on those wild Red Knights, so I think things'll actually get easier from now on.
Tsukasa: A... collar? What do you mean?
Ritsu: Just a little off-board tactics. Shaking up their foundations a bit, outside of the actual performances.
Well, you'll see. The Red Knights will only get weaker and weaker ♪
Tsukasa: I... see. I cannot say I understand what exactly it is you've done with the student council, Ritsu-senpai...
But I am willing to try whatever we can to defeat the Red Knights. We cannot let our guards down around a team that strives to match the performance quality of our graduates.
Even with your strategies supporting us, there would hardly be a point if we let our own quality slip.
Arashi: I prefer it that way. We'll win against the Red Knights while preserving group harmony at our core.
History has always been written by the victors—so to turn things in a better direction, we'll just have to rebel against the tyrants, right?

Tori: I've got you at last! This time, you won't escape punishment!
You Red Knights are gonna pay twice— no, a hundred times as much for the White Knights getting away! I'll roast you over the coals!
Izumi: Agh! You again, Momo-kun?!
Just what do you hope to gain from getting in our way?!
Tori: "Gain"? Huh? I'm here to exact rightful punishment on the rotten crooks who dare defy the student council!
Why don't you tell me, Sena-senpai—what do you Knights hope to gain from making enemies out of us?
Mao: Hold on, there... Just because you've got some pent-up rage doesn't mean you can provoke them.
Hey... sorry about all this. It's just, uh, you know... this is a school, and all. You don't think we could get you to apply for S3... do you?
It would benefit us both if you got permission first, so you know... I don't think it's a bad idea.
Izumi: That's not happening!
I have to devote my whole self to the most nonsensical performance possible. That's the whole point of Mad Party!
Leo: Yep, so, sorry, but it looks like we gotta stick to acting a little wacky because of this "mad hatter" aesthetic or whatever!
Tori: Shoot! They got away again!
You stop right there!!!
Yuzuru: Hm, this is trouble... To think they would not even lend an ear to negotiations...
Bocchama aside, the student council would not bite their heads off over this. There must be some other circumstances at work.
Mao: Mm... I have no idea what it means, but they did mention something about mad hatters just now.
D'you think maybe Knights are planning to join Underland? I seem to recall that it's Alice in Wonderland-themed.
Yuzuru: Hm... I'd completely forgotten about that, but that's quite probable.
Perhaps, to pass the auditions, they are attempting to recreate some sort of lunatic tea party?
Mao: I dunno what they're thinking... Even if they were doing some kind of method acting, this is way too chaotic. I don't really see how this benefits anybody...
In any case, we just have to keep an eye on the Red Knights so they don't do anything dangerous. Let's go, Yuzuru.
Yuzuru: Of course. We must get a hold of the situation as soon as possible and restore order to Yumenosaki.
Once we secure the Red Knights, we shall have them apply for permission to perform.

Izumi: *pant, pant* This should be far enough.
Who do those student council goons think they are, getting in our way like that?!
And these other kids—they aren't keeping up with me and Leo-kun at all. I thought they were better than that!
I really thought the Red Knights were way more ambitious, but I guess not.
Leo: Hey, Sena. How about we put a stop to this?
Izumi: Stop...? What do you mean?
Leo: What do you mean, what do I mean...
Come on, Sena, I'm sure you've noticed it already. You've gone so far you turned into a monster who's disturbing the peace in this unit.
I've been trying to find the right time to tell you, but... you've really been acting weird, Sena.
It's nice that you admire Mad Hatter, but isn't one of the best things about you that you don't let stuff like that change who you are as a person?
Long ago... back when Yumenosaki was a rougher place, I liked how you were always the same, no matter what.
You've always been consistent with yourself. I liked that too, though you can be forceful sometimes.
But now you've kinda lost yourself. Don't you think you're forgetting something important?
Izumi: ...That's just how special Mad Hatter is to me.
If you don't want to go along with me, then fine. It's not like I'm forcing you to.
I'm just saying—if we work together with her, I just know the final performance is gonna be incredible. Mad Hatter's outfits have a real magic to them.
But anyway, who cares, we have to get to the next location. The battle's only just begun.
(Izumi leaves)
Leo: Ngh... No dice, huh. That sure is some "magic" those clothes have.
I didn't think he was the kind of guy who'd cling so hard to the influence somebody else had on him, like my "Ucchu~☆" thing is to me.
How can I get Sena to calm down?
Oh wait, is this one of those times? Should I go hug him and tell him he's fine the way he is?
No, wait, it's the opposite! Sena's acting like he's been brainwashed by aliens!
Hey, juniors... Anybody have an idea? It's not easy to stop him when he goes wild like this.
All I can do is write music and express my feelings through song and dance. A huge letdown, right? A guy like this is your former king.
But there's seriously nothing I can do... I don't have the right words or reasoning in me to stop him.
Mao: That's not true, Tsukinaga-senpai.
Leo: You... Here to butt in again?
Sorry, but go home. I don't have the energy to deal with both Sena and the student council right now.
Mao: Haha, no need to be on the defense.
It's just that, seeing your exchange, I guess I was reminded of when Subaru and Hokuto fought.
I thought maybe I could help mediate.
It's also my job to protect the Knights that Ritsu loves, after all.
