Leo: Hmhm. I seeee, I’ve got the gist of what StarFes is.

Tsukasa: Really? You've had a blank look on your face the whole time, so I was uncertain. Shall I explain once again from the beginning?

Leo: I got it, I got it. In short, StarFes is split into a first half and a second half. Or more appropriately, a preliminary and a final.

The preliminary is the first half, where each unit performs within a given amount of time in their usual outfits.

It’ll be a head-on live battle, and if you lose the vote it’s over.

When we choose to go onstage and whoever our opponents are is up to us. Since losing means immediately leaving the stage, everyone will play it safe at first.

We’re going to storm right ahead though, of course.

Based on the number of votes gained in the first half, it seems like the order and scale of the performances in the second half changes.

Since we’ll be going through the trouble of making new outfits and songs, I want to flaunt it all on the biggest stage.

Izumi: Well, we’re not gonna fall behind a weak, run-of-the-mill unit…

But we don’t know what’ll happen in the actual battle, so let’s at least make a strategy.

Ritsu: Ah, leave that to me. The first half happens pretty early in the day, so I don’t think I’ll be of much use anyway…

I’ll do my best to work on strategy and stuff like that instead.

Leo: Yeah, I’m counting on you, Rittsu! Your craftiness is one of our Knights’ most prided weapons.

Ritsu: Huh, “crafty” isn’t exactly a compliment… But anyway, isn’t it easier to just lose and leave early?

Leo: Of course not. Isn’t it better when fun times last longer? We’ve finally gathered all five members together in our complete form. Let’s do lots of lives.

Tsukasa: And whose fault do you think it is that we couldn’t have full members, Leader…

But that is alright, I feel much better to see that everyone is motivated.

Ritsu: You’re being cheeky~ Anyway, are we all okay with challenging units head-on and saving up vote points like crazy?

I can set up a strategy like that.

Leo: Yeah, do as you see fit. ...StarFes is spearheaded by the student council, right? If that’s the case, it’s better to just rush ahead.

That blockhead emperor is merciless with idols who aren’t assertive.

He picked fights with me so often it was irritating, but the moment I stopped coming to school, he looked at me like I’m a pebble on the ground.

That bastard. And whooo’s to thank for him being in that position, huh?

Izumi: ...Well, the problem at hand here is the first half is being carried out with the pretense of eliminating several units at once.

A preliminary, is a pretty good way to put it.

Leo: Yeah. Compared to our time, anyone and everyone is getting all fired up about it.

It’s important to have something where the true treasures of worth are chosen out of the haze of all these units.

Izumi: Anyway, if all the units are to do a live in a given amount of time, Christmas would be over already.

Why are they trying to do it all in one day? I don’t get it.

Leo: I don’t know, but if we don’t get on the stage ourselves, we might not even get our turn at all.

Of course, if we don’t get onstage at all, our votes will be at zero.

If at the end, we all compare the votes we got during the first half…

Counting from the top, only a handful of units can advance to the second half.

There’s no harm in winning multiple times and racking up votes. There’s no worth in instruments that aren’t played, in idols that don’t stand onstage.

It’s not something I should be saying, but that’s how it is.

Of course, we will be aiming for the top! We’ll end up with a mountain of corpses, wahaha☆

Tsukasa: You are quite cheery… Well, in reality, I do not believe we could lose to anyone as we are now.

Those who call ourselves men, we have received but a single life on this earth, let us aspire to all under the heavens.♪

Arashi: You’re just as bloodthirsty, or rather as violent as usual…

Fine, we’re all boys here. We all love firing guns, I got it.

Leo: Knights are the flowers of the battlefield. If they’re kept even during times of peace, it’ll only put pressure on the national treasury. They have no place in a world of peace. You got a problem with that, Naru?

Arashi: Nope. ...It can’t be helped, but I feel like ever since Ousama came back, the style of past Knights has simply been revived.

Times have changed, do you understand that?

Can’t we just all be friends and live harmoniously together?

I know that’s idealistic, but I still feel out of place somehow.
