[Next Door stage]

Leo: "Weeell, ahem! I'm sure there's lots of Switch fans here who have no idea what a Judgment is..."

"And the rules are a lil' different this time anyway, so I'll explain everything from the top!"

"Judgment has always been a sort of reorchestration of the 'Duel' live—Knights' specialty!"

"As the name suggests, Duel is a fight between units, a showdown with something important on the line!"

"The winner gets what they want and can have their way with the loser! That's the long and short of it!"

"If you have to keep warring and strategizing forever and ever, it's exhausting and a total pain, right?"

"So if there's a disagreement, we jump right into a duel and clean it up in one fell swoop—that's our style!"

"So, 'Judgment' is the version we use for internal fights! We don't fight with other units, but our own members!"

"We split up into whatever teams we like, borrow helpers if we need 'em, and clash! Just like a competition!"

"We did it a lot in the past, but not so much these days. It's possible that only long-time Knights fans know about it."

Tsumugi: "Fufu, all of you in Knights have been getting along well lately~ Honestly, I was pretty shocked when you said you were going to hold a Judgment, you know."

"Did you all have a dispute or something?"

Leo: "Yep! I won't give the details, but we had a little difference in opinion among our members!"

"To put it simply, I wanna keep doing whatever the heck I want, like I've been doing all year already!"

"But Suo~ and the others think that nothing good will come out of leaving me alone, so they wanna take control of my schedule!"

"Y'know how I've been taking on all these weird solo gigs lately?"

"They're sayin' I need to quit that and start working seriously for Knights!"

"Tryna to be my mom or something?! I just wanna go wild and play whatever songs written by who-knows-who, y'know~?"

Ritsu: (Mm... So it's just as I thought.)

(Tsukipi~ had the floor, so he could've set the groundwork in a way that'd give him an advantage...)

(But he's being intentionally misleading.)

(The fans who are here today are fans of Knights, not just Tsukipi~ himself—this was advertised as a "Knights performance" anyway.)

(And anybody who's a fan of Knights as a whole wouldn't approve of Tsukipi~ picking up shady work without looking at it first.)

(At the very least, they'd feel uneasy about it. Seems like everyone would much rather see Knights all together—at least that's the feeling I got from watching our fans.)

(It's much nicer seeing the idols you support all working together peacefully.)

(...Which is just common sense, and the people who came to see Switch probably feel the same too.)

Leo: "Wahaha! So because we're not seeing eye-to-eye, we'll duel—on the stage of Next Door...!"

"The winner will have their opinion heard, while the loser has to follow their requests without complaint!"

"If I win, I'll keep doing as I please, but if the other members of Knights win, then I'll shape up!"

"They can go ahead and pick whoever they want to be my personal manager, and I'll be good and serve Knights alone!"

"I'll contribute all I can to them—as a warrior of Knights, who rides alongside his comrades...!"

"For the sake of everyone who loves and supports me!"

"But if it ends in my win, then you can kiss that goodbye! I'll just throw it all out the window and follow my every whim!"

Arashi: (Ahaha. Come on, Leo-kun. If you put it like that, then everyone will want us to win.)

(I'm sure there are some out there who prefer him having total freedom, but...)

(Lately, he's been doing all sorts of fishy-sounding jobs with that, uh, "GFK" guy...)

(I think the fans would rather he perform together with their beloved Knights instead of pouring all his efforts into that other stuff.)

(Naive little kids are free to run into the street if they want...)

(But I believe it's just a normal feeling to want to grab them by the collar and drag them back out.)

(And, well, the grand majority of this society is made up of normal people, so if you leave the decision to them, you'll get a normal result.)

(But are you really okay with that, Leo-kun?)

(And if you are... why did you run?)

Tsumugi: "Fufu. By the way, we of Switch will be the ones to name the winner, since we're an impartial third party."

"That is to say, we will be the judges of this duel."

"We'll use our magic to read the feelings of everyone gathered here, and the side that the audience agrees with most will be crowned as the winner."

"More specifically—everyone here should have been given a cyalume, right?"

"If you agree with Tsukinaga-kun, then please keep that cyalume switched off."

"If you disagree, then let the rainbow light of the cyalume shine with all your might. The light from the audience will help us determine the winner."

"Well, you don't really need us specifically. Anyone would be able to tell at a glance."

"Turning a mundane act that anyone can pull off into a mystical spectacle is what scamming—I mean, magic, is all about ♪ "

Leo: "Whoa, Oba-chan, that sounded really bad for a sec!"

Tsumugi: "Pardon me. Don't worry, I'll do my job properly as a judge~ I'm definitely, totally not suspicious at all~ ♪ "

Tsukasa: (Marvelous. ...Well done, Aoba-senpai, I'm impressed. You've skillfully cleared the air with a smooth jest.)

(A Yumenosaki-style live show leaves the results of the conflict to the fans' votes, but that puts a surprisingly heavy mental burden on them—)

(And thus it's nearly gone out of use.)

(It makes perfect sense, after all; a single person's vote could change an idol's future.)

(Now, it's becoming more commonplace to allow fans to simply leave a "like" as they please—like how it was in MDM.)

(Under those circumstances, it's been much more difficult to hold Judgments or Duels, as the results of those rely on fan votes.)

(When you think "Knights", you think "Judgment"—it's our forte, after all.)

(Not only is it a tradition that we wish to carry on, it's also our selling point.)

(If we could have those in Switch make it a more wholesome affair, then that would be to our advantage as well.)

(Were it any other unit, we would have revolted, but...)

(Switch are our allies from the same agency, and Aoba-senpai has been a great supporter to me in Summit.)

(And besides, the audience gathered here today is smiling.)

(Judgment is a duel fought with lives on the line. Yet, unbefitting of such a savage ceremony... the atmosphere here is gentle and kind.)

(Everything from the stage and costume design, to the words coming from our mouths, to how we fill the intervals in time...)

(All these things are deliberately painting a new picture. If this is Switch's magic, then how wonderful would that be?)

Izumi: ......

Tsukasa: (My only concern is Sena-senpai, who continues to look stubbornly sour.)

(Earlier, he told me, "Leave Leo-kun to me. I have an idea." But was it truly a good decision to trust him on the matter?)

(It's difficult to forget the embarrassment you caused us in the first DDD, Sena-senpai. Please do not shame us again... I believe in you, okay? I'm counting on you, okay?)
