Izumi: (Ugh, geez... I'm beat.)
(God. Why the hell does that guy have to be such a pain in the ass?)
(He waltzed right into school with a broken arm, but scribbled away at his music with his good arm as if nothing was wrong.)
(I couldn't just leave him like that, so I dragged him out and threw him in the hospital.)
(But why me... Feels like this is happening a lot lately.)
(I had a practice room reserved and everything, but I wasted all that time shipping that moron off to the doctor's instead...)
(Those rental fees aren't cheap! Gimme a break...)
(Time and money are limited, but I keep running around in circles.)
(Since we're such a big group, there are fees for practically everything.)
(At least we can leave the music to him, and we can get designs for cheap through his connections...)
(But still, low expenses don't automatically mean we're earning a lot.)
(All this is because he never tries to get rid of anybody. What kind of idiot brings together a bunch of deadbeats and takes it upon himself to look after them?)
(He doesn't even get anything out of it.)
(These ungrateful bastards are just leeching off somebody they only see as some useful chump.)
(He works so hard to give them things, but they don't even use them effectively. They take whatever money comes in and squander it on luxuries.)
(Even then, he's still all smiles... There's no way he sees what's actually happening.)
(He's just a little brat. He doesn't realize that he's being used.)
(I get so close to snapping sometimes, but...)
(If I tried to complain about them, he'd go, "Hey, play nice!" and act like I'm the one making a fuss.)
(Ugh, this ticks me off. Everybody who annoys me should just go die.)
(All this does is build up stress, and yet... why can't I just leave his side?)
(In any other case, I would've long gotten sick of him by now.)
(Well, I guess there's nowhere else I can run anymore. I can't go back to modeling, so I've got to survive here somehow...)
(Letting myself get slowly tainted as I breathe in this rotten air...)

Arashi: ......
Izumi: Huh? Hey, what're you up to, shitspecs?
Arashi: Eek! You totally scared the living daylights out of me, the way you snuck up so silently! What are you, a cat?
And what's "shitspecs" all about? You're such a big meanie! Oh, I'm so hurt!
These glasses don't make me look weird, do they? Because there's no way! I mean, they match with Kunugi-sensei's! Aren't they just sooo totally adorable? ♪
Izumi: Ew, don't talk like that. It's gross... And don't loiter around the school gates. People are trying to get through, you know?
Arashi: Oh, I hardly think I'm getting the way at all! There's like, sooo much open space around me, see?
Izumi: What I'm trying to say is that you're an eyesore. Why'd you even enroll in the same school as me, huh?
Your whole personality took a gross turn while I wasn't looking, too. Ugh, your annoying levels are off the charts.
Arashi: Um, what's your issue? Maybe try not to pick a fight with me? I don't even see anything in you, Izumi-chan~ In fact, I see nothing at all! They weren't kidding when they said love is blind...☆
Izumi: That's "Sena-senpai" to you. I've been telling you since the day we met that you need to show some respect to your elders! Are those ears just for decoration or what?
Arashi: Hehe, if only they were! Then I could swap them out as I please.
Anyway, my sources say that Kunugi-sensei should be finishing up at work and passing through here right about now...
But I don't see him anywhere! Do you know anything about this?
Weren't you close with Kunugi-sensei, Izumi-chan?
Izumi: Well, we weren't really close...
I mean, he was a top model just before our generation. I only went to him for advice sometimes because I thought it'd be fastest to ask someone actually competent.
He's nice, weirdly enough... Or at least, he was good to me.
He looked out for me for a short time just before he switched over idol work.
Besides, weren't you closer to him? I seem to recall you stuck to him like glue when we were kids.
Arashi: Ehehe! Our love story is a tearjerker for the ages, I'll have you know!
Me and Kunugi-sensei had a meeting ordained by fate! Wanna hear all about how our love began to blossom? I bet you totally do!
Izumi: No, I literally don't care. Why should I sit here and listen to a guy infodump about why you're obsessed with some other guy?
That's just weird, plus it has no impact on my life.
But in any case, Kunugi-senpa— uh, Kunugi-sensei's just starting out as a teacher, so it looks like he's got his hands full with work.
Maybe he's just working overtime today?
Arashi: Oh my gosh, so you do know something about it. *gasp* Don't tell me you're gunning for him too, Izumi-chan?! Hands off! That's my soulmate you're after!
Izumi: No way, he's all yours. Look, I only know this stuff because he's new at this school too and doesn't know many people yet...
At least, I think so, since he comes over and acts all friendly with me whenever he sees me.
Well, he is a teacher, and I do owe him for looking out for me in the past...
So I let him vent to me. Sheesh, it feels like I always end up in this role, somehow.
Arashi: Hehe. You're mean and have an attitude, but you're actually pretty easy to talk to, Izumi-chan.
You're a good listener, you know? You help think of solutions together and offer your advice.
Meanwhile, most people at this school love to go off about themselves. You're a rare breed here, Izumi-chan. ♪
Izumi: Must you talk back to me every chance you get? Shut it and come along already.
I can practice better when there's someone else around.
Besides, you have a good eye for it. Come with and point out what I'm missing in my technique.
I managed to get a practice room for free, so that's a bargain for you, too.
Arashi: Ugh, really? You sure love to practice, Izumi-chan... There's not much point in working so hard at a school like this, you know?

T/N: For preservation's sake, there is a line in this chapter that was changed when the Portrait Look Back Scout came out; instead of commenting about Arashi always clinging to Akiomi in the past, Izumi originally says that Arashi and Akiomi were from different modeling agencies. Portrait has the two in the same agency.
