Hokuto: ...Hm? Tenshouin-senpai, Aoba-senpai, Tsukinaga-senpai... even Ayase?

What are you all doing, Tenshouin-senpai?

Eichi: Oh, Hokuto:. Can't you see? We're being made to put together some papercraft kits.

Hokuto: Papercraft?

Leo: The four of us went to a museum together. These are our souvenirs!

Hokuto: I see. But, why are you "being made to" do this? You didn't decide to put them together yourselves?

Eichi: I did say I don't have the time for this, but Tsukinaga-kun simply wouldn't let me go.

Leo: If you leave it halfway done, it might never get finished, right? So you should sit down and make sure it's complete.

Eichi: Yeah, yeah, alright.

Hokuto: ...Hm. You seem to be having fun.

Leo: Oh, you interested? We bought a bunch. Go ahead, pick one you like and join us, if you want!

Hokuto: Don't mind if I do, then. A little arts and crafts is nice now and then. It's good brain stimulation, like a crossword.

...Oh? Ayase and Aoba-senpai seem to be working on something different.

Tsumugi: This is a diorama of the museum! It looks difficult, so I'm having Ayase-kun help me with it.

Hokuto: I see. Ayase does look like he's a practiced hand at this.

Mayoi: Ah? Oh, no, not at all... I'm just average...

Hokuto: Doesn't look that way to me. At least, you're a lot more dexterous than I am.

Hm... The papercraft looks fun, but so does the diorama.

Tsumugi: They both have their charms, right? It's hard to choose. We bought a few different diorama kits as well, so feel free to pick one up if you want.

I'm sure we have one for beginners here... Huh?

Good evening. Just got off work, Saegusa-kun?

Ibara: Ah, His Majesty, is it? I'd seen your photographs, but seeing you in person is yet more impressive. That hairstyle suits you very well.

Tsumugi: Ahaha, thank you. I'm so sorry for my absence at the Summit the other day.

Ibara: No problem at all! Tsukinaga-shi performed excellently in your place. Nothing untoward occurred, I can assure you. Nothing at all, indeed ♪

Eichi: ...Hehe. To me, it looked like you thought you could handle him easily and ended up biting off more than you can chew, though?

Ibara: Oh no, quite the opposite. I would never take him lightly—though he no longer has the crown, he was once the king that reigned Knights ♪

Tsumugi: Would you like to join us in making crafts, Saegusa-kun? It's a good breath of fresh air.

Ibara: Many thanks for the invitation! However, I see you have limited supply—I wouldn't want to use up one of your precious purchases on one such as myself.

Eichi: So, to translate, you'd rather not because you'd lose face in front of us if you failed to build one according to the instructions... Am I correct?

Ibara: ...Ahaha, what barbed words! I'm afraid you've committed a mistranslation.

Very well, then—I shall build a papercraft, a diorama, what have you!

Leo: Gettin' fired up, huh? That's the spirit, Ibara!

Come on, try making both a papercraft and a diorama at the same time! I'll be here writing up a song to cheer you on!

Eichi: Come now, Tsukinaga-kun. You shouldn't leave your work halfway done, remember? Finish your own papercraft first.

Leo: Whaaat? I can totally do it while composing! Right, Hokuto?

Hokuto: I don't know. Why are you asking me?

Tsumugi: Hehe, it's gotten pretty lively in here.

Mayoi: Yes, but it's nice...♪

(A couple hours later)

Tsumugi: Next, put a little glue here at this angle, and...

Leo: You've gotten used to this, Oba-chan. Up until just a moment ago, you kept asking Mayoi if you were getting it right.

Tsumugi: Hehe. I guess I've gotten used to it, but it's more that I feel like I'm comfortable enough to start paying attention to the build as a whole.

Take this piece, for example. If you tweak the angle just a little bit from how the instruction manual tells you, the shadows look prettier.

Leo: Wow, awesome! You're Doctor Diorama, PhD now! You even look the part with those glasses ♪

Tsumugi: I'm still far from Ayase-kun's level, though.

Before I noticed, everyone left, and now it's just you and me. It was nice to chat with everyone while working, but...

It's also pretty fun just working away in silence.

Natsume: Hmm? So that's fun for you?

Tsumugi: Natsume-kun?! When did you get here?

Natsume: A while ago, in fact. You were so absorbed in that diorama, though, that you failed to notice. How cruel.

What did you do today with your time, Senpai? You weren't building that all day, were you?

Tsumugi: Ahh, about that...

Leo: We went to a museum—me, Oba-chan, Mayoi, and Tenshi all together.

Natsume: To a museum? Why?

Tsumugi: Well, recently, Ayase-kun taught me how to build these miniature scenes. Then I happened to learn about this special exhibit on dioramas at the museum, so I invited those three to come with me.

Oh, right. Listen to this, Natsume-kun.

I had a small chat with the curator, and we started talking about the possibility of having a collaboration between the museum and Switch.

We'll hammer out the details later, but we were thinking either Switch could make a project plan around a special exhibit, or we could even design our own exhibit around Switch's general aesthetic—

Natsume: ... (wordlessly yanks Tsumugi's hair)

Tsumugi: Owaugh! W-What are you doing? That hurts!

Natsume: Why were you working? You're forbidden to work, aren't you?

Tsumugi: I just... Well, I'm only banned from doing vice president work, right? This was about Switch...

But... I guess I got a little too excited.

The moment I thought I might be useful to somebody for the first time in a while, my heart started to feel lighter.

...Without my vice president work, I didn't know how to fill my time. I just kept pushing myself, thinking "I need to do something, anything!"

But all that did was suffocate me. Time was passing meaninglessly—neither my mind nor my body could rest.

Today, though, I had a sudden realization while spending time with everyone.

Learning about others' hobbies, making things together... In the time I spent absorbed in learning something new, I found a new side of myself.

And before I knew it, all that restlessness in my heart had been replaced with a sense of enjoyment.

Instead of feeling like I had to do something, I was working off a pure desire of wanting to do something.

Trying something new is a good thing. You can learn about a world you never knew, slowly become good at something you couldn't do before...

When I took up the mantle of vice president, I used work as a means for feeling satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment. I thought that was what I was meant to do.

By carrying out the role I was given, I carved out a place for myself to belong.

But now, I have a new perspective—I think it's okay to make some time just for myself, too.

Instead of just completing a task someone else assigned to me, I can use my own hands, my own will, to bring shape to something...

I want to make sure I always have time for that, from now on.

Natsume: Oh? Looks like you finally learned a normal way to rest.

Tsumugi: Hehe. I guess you're right.

Leo: Oba-chan! Look!

I tried my hand at a diorama, too! Look at this mini Natsume doll I made!

Natsume: That doesn't look like me at all.

Leo: Oh, c'mon! You try making one, then! You're the one who knows your own face best!

Natsume: I suppose I can't refuse if you ask... I'll give it a try.

Tsumugi: (Huh, I didn't expect Natsume-kun to accept the offer so earnestly. Is it because they're roommates?)

(...Hehe. Making things together with people really is wonderful.)

(I never knew that even outside of work, I could feel so happy... so fulfilled.)

(I want to make sure I've really learned how to face these feelings, how to spend this time.)

(I have to do it—for me.)
