Tsumugi: Fufu. You seem very bewildered by the existence of Suou-kun, huh, Tsukinaga-kun?
Leo: Suo~? Ahh, you mean the Newbie. I just don’t know what to do with him overall. I feel like Urashima Taro. I could write a whole song about my feelings right now. [1]
Tsumugi: Please don’t start composing. Lunch break will end without anything being solved, you know.
Anyhow, returning to the topic, you might have hurt Sora-kun, so you want to apologize… is how I understand it. Is that right?
Leo: Yep. But no matter where I look, I can’t find Sora anywhere.
You’re part of his unit, right? Can’t you give me a guess at where he is?
Tsumugi: Well, actually, that’s the problem I have all the time. He doesn’t really carry around a smartphone, since he said he didn’t like the electromagnetic waves coming from it or something.
But recently there’s been an increasing need for a phone, so it seems he’s been enduring it and carrying one around anyway. But even then, I’ve been calling him all day and he hasn’t picked up at all.
Leo: Ahh~… He fell right into the sea yesterday too. If it’s not some kind of waterproof phone, it’s possible he broke it then.
I broke mine too~ But I just carry it around with me anyway because I’ve got some data for new songs saved in there, plus it’s a pain to get it fixed.
Tsumugi: Ahaha, it’s no use carrying around a broken phone. I know a good store, let’s go there together after this!
Leo: Nah, just tell me the place and I’ll go myself.
You’re good at taking care of people as always, Obachan, always putting others before yourself… It’s fine to be a little more selfish, you know.
Tsumugi: Oh, it’s just in my nature to do so.
Leo: I like that about you, Obachan.♪
But speaking of which, it doesn’t really matter now, but… what was Sora doing at the sea yesterday?
He fell right from the sky, you know. So I thought he was an alien or something… though that kinda sounds like an excuse.
But still, that kinda thing doesn’t happen normally.
Tsumugi: Mm~ While listening to your story, I also thought only that part was strange. It’s not very realistic. Actually, it’s more like a supernatural phenomenon.
But, there are tricks and secrets to every kind of magic.
…Please wait just a moment. While we’ve been talking, I’ve been checking with Natsume-kun.
Leo: You’ve gotten really skilled, huh, doing different things at once! It’s impossible for me~ I’m impressed!
Tsumugi: …Ahh, fufu.♪ I see, I see, the mystery has been solved.
It seems that yesterday, Sora-kun was practicing on his hangglider.
Leo: Hangglider?
Tsumugi: Do you not know it? It’s like… Here, this is a picture I just got off the web, but it looks like this.
Leo: Ahh, that! I’ve seen it on TV or something. You can look this stuff up so fast now! We’ve really gotten to such a convenient era.
Tsumugi: Ahh, it’s actually been like this for a long time now. The tools of civilization are very convenient, you know. You should try using them too, Tsukinaga-kun.
Leo: Mm~ If I’m just using them for composing, it actually seems kinda tedious.
Tsumugi: Maybe you should try doing something other than composing. But anyway, yesterday there were a lot of sudden, strong winds, right?
It seems that Sora-kun lost balance on his hangglider and fell into the sea.
But even after Sora-kun fell, the hangglider kept going with that momentum and flew off—
So that’s why, from your vantage point, it might’ve looked like Sora-kun fell from nothing.
Like seeing a ghost, but it’s actually withered flowers from afar… there is a realistic explanation for everything.
Leo: Ahh, is that what it was…? Now that you mention it, just before he fell, the wind suddenly got stronger… is that what they call turbulence?
Was Sora okay? When I held him yesterday, he didn’t seem to be injured anywhere.
I’m worried ‘cause some guys don’t show the pain on their face and then others just deal with it.
Tsumugi: Yes, he seems alright. He didn’t fall from too big a height.
He quickly remembered how to dive properly and was able to minimize the impact.
But on that note, his hangglider got severely damaged, so that’s actually what’s making Sora-kun depressed.
Apparently it was something he used a book to assemble together with Natsume-kun… I also saw him happily fiddling around with something yesterday.
I wondered why he was working on some contraption at the beach, but I guess that was the hangglider… It was far away, so I couldn’t really tell.
And then he had an accident. If I knew that was going to happen, I would’ve ditched my library work and gone to watch over Sora-kun.
That won’t do~ I’m not setting my priorities straight.
Leo: Well, if you just look at the results, it’s better that only the hangglider got damaged, right? We’re not God, no one can predict the future.
But still, that Sora, why did he want to go flying on a hangglider?
Tsumugi: Hmm, I couldn’t even begin to imagine what Sora-kun was thinking.
But lately, we’ve been thinking about doing some new kind of performance in Switch.
I thought it was a pretty eccentric idea to start flying around on brooms like witches.
But when he heard about it, Sora-kun’s eyes sparkled, so you see, we started doing some practice for that.
There were two suggestions, one being hanging from the ceiling by hidden ropes, the other actually flying in on gliders.
Knowing Natsume-kun, after this recent accident, he’s more likely to pick the former.
Leo: Flying on brooms? You guys are actually pretty interesting idols… I’m a little intrigued now.
You were more on the orthodox side in fine, though, Obachan?
Tsumugi: Fufu, being unorthodox is fun, though there are a lot of hard parts about it, too.

[1] Urashima Taro is a Japanese folktale about a man who saved a turtle, and the turtle took him to an underwater kingdom where he stayed with princess Otohime. When he grew nostalgic and went back to land, he'd discovered over a hundred years had passed. Maybe Leo is comparing Urashima Taro's confusion at the end of the story with how out of place he feels now?
