[Tennis Court]
(After school that day, during the going-away party for the tennis club graduates)
Izumi: Huh… I was thinking that idiot seemed weird lately.
So basically, even though Kasa-kun’s just a baby who’s nowhere near graduation, he’s already worrying about his future?
He doesn’t know whether to prioritize his idol self or the self who’ll inherit the Suou family…?
Even his worries are so outdated. It’s like he’s a knight from a bygone era trying to survive in today’s modern society.
Well, me and Ousama and everyone else have had our share of similar problems, I guess.
Tori: Yup. I’m pretty sure that’s how it is. Our families talk to each other, so to be nice, I also went to see Tsukasa’s papa in the hospital.
And Tsukasa—even though he’s Tsukasa—looked seriously worried, you know. His face was super scary… I didn’t even think to pick on him like I usually do.
Though, I heard his papa’s condition has stabilized for the most part, and the hospital might even let him go today. Tsukasa will probably just show up at school soon enough, right?
So I don’t think you need to worry so much, Sena-senpai.
Izumi: …Well, I don’t think he’s the type of ungrateful guy who’d just disappear without a word.
But depending on whatever conclusion he reaches, he might come back just to announce he’s quitting idol work.
He’s the all-important successor to an ancient and honorable family, after all. Man, talk about old-fashioned…
Why would some fancy elite want to do something as dumb as idol work when he should be sitting around being waited on by commoners, huh?
Tori: Mm~… I had the same problem before, so I just assumed maybe that was it.
Our upbringings were similar, but I’m not Tsukasa, so I can only guess.
If you’re really worried about it, why don’t you just ask him?
Izumi: …Momo-kun. You’re really starting to think and sound more and more like Tenshouin these days, huh?
Tori: Ooh, really? I’m so glad! In what ways?
This is pretty rare for you, Sena-senpai, considering how you annoy me every time you open your mouth! I wouldn’t mind if you praised me more, you know…☆
Izumi: It wasn’t exactly praise… Speaking of which, has Kasa-kun gotten more like me at all?
I’ve told him off for his behavior nearly every day, so I’m pretty sure at least some of that’s sunk in by now♪
Has he become a cool, level-headed, beautiful and proud man like me yet?
Tori: Y’know, I’ve always thought this, but you sure have a weird view of yourself, Sena-senpai.
I mean, no matter how annoyed he gets with you, you’re always boldly trying to flirt with that glasses monke—Yuuki-senpai.
Izumi: Excuse me! What’s that supposed to mean, Momo-kun? I’m always rightfully brimming with confidence! That’s an essential prerequisite for becoming a model, you know♪
Tori: Where’s that confidence even coming from… Well, even if it’s wrong or you’re just trying to fool yourself, it’s not like it’s bad to like yourself.
Makoto: Heeey~ Himemiya-kun, did you call me?
Tori: Huh? Oh, no, your name just popped up while we were talking.
Izumi: Yuu-kun, Yuu-kun! C’mere! Sit on your Oniichan’s lap!
Sit down so I can embrace you with all my heart and soul and grow increasingly unable to bear the sadness of listening to your tearful voice insist that you don’t want me to leave...!
Makoto: Sorry? Oh yeah, after graduation…you’re gonna go abroad, right, Izumi-san? Do your best at work! I’ll be cheering you on all the way over here in Japan, far, far away~♪
Izumi: Wha? What’s with that reaction, Yuu-kun?
That smile means you’re just forcing yourself to be strong, even though you’re trying desperately to hold back your sadness, right? It’s not the kind of big smile you’d do out of complete relief, right?!
Makoto: Well, to be honest, I am pretty relieved.
Izumi: Oh, you! You’re just being shy! Are you sure you wanna act like this? If you cling tight to me with big, tearful eyes, I might just reconsider and stay in the country, you know!
This is your last chance, Yuu-kun! Come on! Into my arms!
Makoto: Mm~… Actually, that makes me wonder all the more why you’re not looking sad.
If you’re saying all that…then are you feeling anxious, Izumi-san? Do you really want me to stop you?
If I did, you could’ve used that as an excuse, right? Like, you could say you had no choice because I asked you or something.
I don’t wanna be part of your wimpy little whining here.
This is the decision you came to after so much careful deliberation, right? Don’t start looking for a way out now – stay determined and stick to it.
No…show me how cool you are, Oniichan.
Izumi: Wha?! Hey, Momo-kun, how am I supposed to interpret what Yuu-kun just said?!
D’you think I can assume he’s just fighting back his feelings of loneliness and being so harsh on me all for my sake—meaning he loves me?!
Tori: What? Don’t ask me… I don’t wanna get involved. I don’t care what you do, just do it somewhere far away from me, ‘kay~?
Oh, but—Sena-senpai, you’re going abroad after graduation? That’s the first time I’ve heard this.
Izumi: Oh, I didn’t tell you? Well, I don’t come to tennis club that often, and besides that, we don’t really interact, I guess?
Tori: Um, don’t you always wave your hand and greet me all like “Momo-kun~♪” whenever we see each other in the hallways between classes?
I don’t even try to act nice to you, so why do you like me so much, huh?
Izumi: Huh? I do? I never really noticed… But I guess out of all you cheeky, useless first years, I don’t hate you as much?
Makoto: Fufu. Izumi-san’s not very honest, so if he says he doesn’t hate you so much, then he might as well have told you he loves you ♪
Tori: What? Uh, I’m not too hyped about that.
Besides, when I think about your situation, Yuuki-senpai, Sena-senpai doesn’t even use the word “hate,” but rather “I adore you”—
That’s scary. He’s way too clingy.
Izumi: What~? There’s no need to be afraid of love…♪
Makoto: Love isn’t scary, you are.
Izumi: Oh? But I’m not scary at all~ And here your Oniichan loves you so much, too!
Okay, I know, I give up~! Look, Yuu-kun, your Oniichan’s completely defenseless~ Go ahead, have your way with me!
Makoto: Alright. I’ll just leave you to it, then!
