Leo: Alrighty, enough chatter! Attention, everyone~! I’m about to talk about something important, so shut it and listen up!
Izumi: What, are we soldiers or something? That doesn’t suit us at all right now. You know that, don’t you?
Leo: Yeah, yeah, shut up! Quit picking at every single thing I say! You’re not my mom!
Izumi: Obviously not… Well, whatever, I’ve already tired myself out enough today, so I’ll stay quiet. Out with it, then, what is this “something important” we have to talk about now?
Leo: Well, you see~ I was just thinking-- we can’t leave things like this…
We’ve been giving everything our all so far, but now, while we’re still riding this momentum, we’ll have to say our goodbyes.
I mean, even then, it’ll all probably wrap up nicely with a fairly happy ending.
And this isn’t just my wishful thinking, either. I can say this with certainty after seeing everything for myself. If we just stop and stand here with our mouths wide open, happiness will probably find its way in by itself.
We’ve been experiencing loads of success, and Knights’ popularity is skyrocketing.
No matter who takes up the throne next, I’m sure they’ll be able to expand our territories and build up a kingdom of everlasting peace without much trouble.
And the wishes of both us graduating seniors and you three remaining will probably all be granted, and we’ll each achieve our own successes on the battlefield we always longed for.
And then maybe every now and then, just on a whim, we’ll meet up with our former comrades and reminisce over the past.
That blissful future will definitely be ours, and we won’t even have to think or lift a finger for it.
I wouldn’t say it’s our God-granted destiny, either. It’s an honor we’ve won with our own efforts.
Us Knights, we’re powerful. We’ve overcome so many hardships, and now our minds and bodies are stronger for it.
You deserve my honest praise, and my respect as well. I’m honored to have been part of such a glorious band of knights.
But…are you guys really okay with just this?
Is an ending you could read in pretty much any book you can grab off a shelf...really enough to satisfy you?
We’ve trampled on others, drenched ourselves in blood, sinned over and over. You could say we’re lucky to even get the kind of happiness any ordinary subject would have.
At least, that’s how it is for us.

While I’m at it, I never mentioned this before so I’ll announce it now-- when I graduate from Yumenosaki, I’m quitting idol work!
