Hello hello again, folks!

I've been thinking about it for a long, long time and finally came around to doing it: yes, a full new tl of Judgment! This event was the very first event I ever tried translating, and while it was an amazing time the first time around, that was quite literally 5 years ago for me. I have grown so much as a person and a writer since then, so I finally decided to revisit an old event and give it a little bit of my current creative touch. This work was done entirely to see how far I've come since then, and, while Akira text still proves really challenging to put into words, I ended up having so, so much fun, and realized all over again just how much I really love Knights!

Special shoutout to my proofer Jay, who has been with me through thick and thin since Checkmate. Thank you for believing in me, for hashing things out with me, and for always supporting me. I love you lots! ♥

There are a few things I'd like everyone to note before proceeding:

☆ My main approach to this tl was "what if I started completely from scratch and just went wild?!" so I didn't try to stick to existing fandomwide conventions or styles. I went at it with all the localization power I could muster while trying to stay true to Knights. It was completely for my own fun and enjoyment, but I'd be happy if you all enjoyed it too!

☆ That said I did away with some terms (most obviously "Ou-sama") to better fit my vision for localization of this story and the Western tone of Knights as a whole. This was really tricky sometimes!! Again, that was really just for fun; I kept stuff like "-chan" "-kun" "Onee-sama" and so on, as I'm well aware that it's impossible to divorce the Japanese school setting from the game story. (And lbr where would we be without "Kasa-kun"?)

☆ The story is marked as taking place in Summer for half of the chapters, even though the characters aren't wearing their summer uniforms. Trust me, idk what this is about either.

☆ This isn't meant to compete with or replace the old version! The older one (a continuation of looksafterrainbows's tl) is still available on this blog as well! Feel free to read both and go "Wow, royalquintet knows how to use idioms now!" HOWEVER I did find some mistranslations in the old version that younger me did not notice LOL so I would appreciate it if you gave this version a look for comparison.
