Mao: You look pretty excited yourself, Makoto. …Geez, I was a bit worried there, you know? It wasn’t like you to come up with a suggestion like the one you did.
Makoto: Ahaha. I guess it was, kinda.
I mean, I went and suggested that, instead of Knights and Trickstar doing a joint live like we originally planned…we compete against each other as opponents.
But, I’m sorry, it’s something I really wanna do. I want to prove my own worth, to gain confidence. And I’ll do it by winning against Knights… against Izumi-san.
Subaru: Ahaha. It really isn’t an Ukki~ thing to do, but sure is a Trickstar thing to do♪
Hokuto: I agree. It feels like Yuuki has finally become someone who can fight right alongside us.
Until now, I always thought of you as the one to stop me or Akehoshi from running wild, tears in your eyes. But this time, you were the first to speak up.
No one expected you to say something so out of the blue. But the more I think about it, the more I realize it was the optimal decision. It was an idea that we--that Trickstar--would have.
Mao: Yeah. While we kept bowing our heads to everyone so we wouldn’t cause them any trouble, you were the one who brought revolution back to our hearts.

To be honest… I still can’t shake the anxious thought that I might just be talentless dead weight.
But I get the feeling that if I combine my strength with all of yours, I can do anything.
You guys make me stronger. And as long as I have you guys, I won’t lose to anyone. Is that okay with you, Trickstar?

Even if we just said we’re facing off against Knights, it’s not like we’d know what to do in particular. Of course, we could always choose a winner based on who entertains the audience more…
But you can’t measure that kind of thing with numbers.
Makoto: Yep. That’s why we’ll use the internet. An official website was already made for us and Knights, under the pretext of putting us in the spotlight.
And with permission, we can get it updated and use it for the event.
We already made it easy for visitors to access the page with their phones, since we got it printed right on the Halloween Party flyers we’re handing out to everyone—
Then, when they’re redirected to the special webpage, they can vote with one tap.
It’s set up so they can vote for whichever unit they liked at Halloween Party.
Each guest gets ten votes, and they can separate those votes however they like.
They can put all ten votes in for one unit, or they can choose a number of units.
And then, after we add up those online votes and the ones we usually get during performances… the one with the most votes in the end will be the winner.
We idols are the only ones who know about this competition…
So, we can avoid any foul play or buying out votes and stuff, and the winner will just end up being the one who naturally made the audience happiest.
Mao: Oh, yeah. We haven’t announced anything official except that the survey votes are for our reference.
There aren't any details about what would happen if a unit gets a lot of votes.
If the fans actually knew what was happening, they might’ve gone crazy and tried forcing other people to vote, no matter how badly they acted.
And then, enjoying Halloween Party itself would become just a side thing… That’d be a shame.
Makoto: Yeah. Also, as part of a secret agreement between only us and Knights…
Each member of the winning unit will be have the right give one order to the losing unit.
Hokuto: That’s the problem, that each member gets one…
Our opponents seem eager to reach the top, especially Suou-kun. In the worst case scenario, they might tell us to give up the rights to perform in SS or something.
Makoto: Ah, yeah, There’s a possibility of that happening, too, huh. If it does, I’m sorry.
Of course I have no intention to lose, but it wasn’t good of me to bet away our chance at SS all on my own.
Hokuto: Well, we shouldn’t be so certain that they’ll actually order us to do something like that, either. But remember that it’s a possibility, and don’t let your guard down… We can’t lose this.
Subaru: Ahaha. Well, if we can’t even win against Knights, we won’t be able to stand out at SS, where champions from all over the country come to compete. Let’s think of Halloween as a good warm-up.

So we’re definitely gonna win! We’ll fight fair and square until the very end, putting in our every effort as idols!
