Season: Autumn

Leo: Ah well, anyway, you have my full support.
What I really wanna tell Sena and Naru right now is that they need to shut up and listen to what the King's decided to do.
What are they so upset about, anyway? It's not like Knights is in a bad spot right now.
We've done a splendid job living through spring and summer, and now through fall and winter we're trying to blossom even more, and yet...? Why do they gotta be such killjoys?
I guess they're anxious because their trauma was brought up, but still!
Times have changed—the world has changed, so how long are they going to be picking at old scars?
Tsukasa: Um... So, Sena-senpai's constant grumpiness aside, the reason he and Narukami-senpai are so unstable is because... the same thing happened in the past?
Have I perhaps... blown it, without realizing? Uh, is this the correct way to use "blow it"? [1]
Leo: You're good. And well, we don't know unless we ask them, right~? Maybe they were just annoyed 'cause they stepped in gum while coming over here or something.
Maybe they were just feeling irritated that day. On the flipside, if somebody managed to feel happy 24/7, three hundred sixty-five days a year, I'd think they were broken somewhere.
Nobody's perfect. Even Naru tries really hard to act in a way people expect—and it's probably all subconscious, too.
Tsukasa: ? What do you mean?
Leo: I'm saying you two are alike, too. That's why you've had Naru's love and support all this time even though there are lots of things you don't agree on.
And that's also why Naru, who's all about self-love, adores you like a child or a real little brother. It's because you share things with each other.
You can't lose trust in that love. Maybe that little round table rebellion offended you, but...
Once people begin to doubt the love given to them, they start collapsing in on themselves.
Trust me, the rest of us know how it is. We once found ourselves hugging our knees in the dark because we lost sight of the love we had for each other.
So I don't want any of us to turn out that way again.
No—we chose you as our next king exactly so we wouldn't repeat the same mistakes and tragedies.
We hoisted your banner and flew your colors, pure and noble, as the symbol of our kingdom.
Tsukasa: ......
Leo: So are you still gonna say I "think too highly" of you?
If so, I'd consider that a direct insult to our feelings and sense of beauty! And if you wanna pick that fight, I'll kick your ass!
Tsukasa: Heh. Brutal words, as always. Well, I suppose it's not quite as intense as back when you were King.
Leo: People don't change that easily! For example, Sena's been managing my life recently, right?
You might think that that suddenly solves the problem of me getting deceived by some nasty people ever again, however—!
That's not the case at all! Even after this, I'll still be making songs for people who want 'em from me!
And whether or not those people are good people, I'll make music 'cause I want to!
In that time, I'll probably run into someone bad again—it's just that it's less likely to happen now. But as long as I'm me, that danger will never disappear.
At our cores, we really don't change.
Our souls remain the same color forever. Even so, we want to be with the people we love, so we're always squishing and molding ourselves into different shapes so we can even have the chance to reach out to each other.
Once we manage to grab onto each other's hands, then somehow, in some way, we're finally able to kinda maintain this state of just barely meshing well with each other.
The moment we let our guards down, it all blows up and we end up right back where we started.
That's what things are like right now. But see, the longer you manage to get along, the more your shape gets stuck that way. Even if you drift apart from each other, it'll be easier to reconnect.
So... it'll be fine. We, Knights, will be fine. We almost got all split up because our environment is different now and we have all these external pressures.
But if we reach out and grab onto each other's hands with all our strength, then we can be together again—and that's all because we're already reshaped to each other.
Even if our bodies are far apart, our souls never forget their shapes.
Tsukasa: ...You're as difficult to understand as ever, but...
I believe I understand the gist of what you're saying. Indeed—in other words, thanks to all of you, I, too, have been twisted in the best sense of the word.
Had I been sequestered away in a safe environment, protected from everything, I never would have gained this "shape".
There are nicks and dents all over my soul, left by all of you.
They are proof that we have lived life with one another.
I must take another good look at them.
Looking back upon my memories of when we first met and I thought of you all as my "strange seniors", I shall return us to the most optimal shape—
And then, I shall reforge our union and win back the beautiful Knights that I adore.
Leo: ? I don't get it! Quit using so many metaphors...!
Tsukasa: You're certainly one to talk.
...Hm, I see. So this is the dent you've left in me.
Leo: What's up with these dents?!
Ah! Hmmm... So that's what you meant? So confusing!

Tsukasa: Heh. Well, let's consider this a step forward... Wearing such a gloomy expression would only be an offense to the chef who made these desserts.
First, let us smile and fill our stomachs with sweets.
Now that the path before us is clear, we must no longer simply stand in place—and for that, we need some energy!

[1] Tsukasa originally uses the slang term 地雷 (jirai, lit. "land mine") which generally means a "taboo topic"/"topic that will make someone upset". In otaku circles, it's a word often used for fictional subject matter you don't want to see (NOTP, etc.)
