Arashi: Mm~ If it looked like no one else was gonna step in, I wouldn’t have minded being the leader.
I mean, I was the one who took charge in Izumi-chan’s place after he made a mess earlier this year, after all.
Izumi: …You keep acting like you’ve only just remembered I “made a mess”, but I’ve already done my penance for that, right?
I’m pretty sure I’ve more than made up for that already~ Anything more would be bullying me, don’t you think?
Ritsu: Mhmm. Hate the sin, not the sinner… And if I’m gonna be honest, we’re all just as guilty, too, for not stopping Secchan.
Excluding Su~chan, who didn’t know anything at the time, and Ousama, who wasn’t there, that is.
But by that definition… Su~chan bears neither sin nor disgrace, so I wouldn’t mind him being the next king, you know?
You can never erase the past, and you shouldn’t, either.
And the next school year may see some new members joining Knights, so we wouldn’t want all those innocent kids taking on our past sins, right?
Su~chan seems to take pride in the name of “Knights”, and I’ve also gotten pretty fond of it, too, but…
If the situation calls for it, I wouldn’t be opposed to changing the name and letting it reincarnate into something completely new.
Izumi: Huh. Well, that wouldn’t be out of the ordinary for us.
Othello, Backgammon, Chess, all kinds of names… We just changed the armor we wore and kept on going as if nothing was wrong.
However, you may be able to switch out your armor, but you can’t toss out your own body. We still have blood on our hands from hurting so many people.
No matter how much we may try to clean it off, it’ll never disappear.
Ritsu: Ooh, you’ve been really getting into these little roles every so often, ever since you got some acting lessons in Mystery Stage… huh, Secchan♪
Leo: Wahaha! Nothin’ wrong with that! Every word of Sena’s is beautiful! Scream them all out, all your poems of love…☆
Izumi: Quit making fun of me. …But still, that’s why I think that instead of us, who still carry the burdens of the past…
…The one most fit to lead the new Knights from now on is—Kasa-kun.
It’s not like Naru-kun or Kuma-kun are the type to just step up and snatch the crown for themselves either...
I’m not sure about Kasa-kun’s ability level, but that’s where the other two come in. I think he’ll be fine with their solid support.
Well, I don’t really have the right to choose the next leader, so… in the end this is just my personal opinion.
Leo: Wahaha! In today’s democratic society, a “personal opinion” weighs just as much as the “king’s opinion”!
Isn’t Knights supposed to be a group of individualists, anyway?
You make me sound all high and mighty by calling me “Ousama”, but…
I’m not an actual feudal lord from the Middle Ages. My vote’s as good as anyone’s!
So anyway, getting us back on topic before I get scolded again… I’ve put my choice in for Suo~ to be the next king, but it’s not like it’s some grand order nobody can defy.
This is only what I’d prefer myself, as an individual. If you don’t like it, then you can say no! So what do you think?
Honestly speaking, I know I should’ve discussed it not only with Naru and Rittsu… but with Suo~ too.
But for some reason I got the feeling you’d just accept it without a second thought.
Wahaha, it’s dumb, isn’t it~ I’m always like this. You and I are different people, but sometimes I lose track of where the boundaries are.
But you see, I wanted you to succeed me because you’re you. You’re frail and innocent, just like how I used to be… but you’re also noble, precious, and free of sins or scars.

We haven’t hammered out any details for the Repayment Festival two weeks from now besides deciding that “we’ll do it our way, and do it well”.
How about we move on to that topic for the time being?
Oh but wait, looks like the Repayment Festival puts the spotlight on the younger members of each unit…
