Hello everyone and welcome to... how do I even call it?! Knights Climax? Tsukasa center? Checkmate 2.0? Whatever you want to consider it, it's a wild ride of a story.

Some things about this story delighted me and some really disappointed me. I don't want to color your impression of the story too much before you get to read it yourselves, but I will say that probably the best way to go into this story is with an open mind, a fresh read of Checkmate, aaaand probably little to no expectations of whatever the context of the Luminous Crown song and MV is.

In this story, some assumptions about Knights' !! story arc that can be made off previous !! era stories are completely thrown out or flipped on their head (personally aggravating for someone with a PhD in Tsukasa Suou), and a few things from ! era are kind of twisted around, but at the same time, I really think Knights shine very, very bright in this story in a way that they haven't in years. There's just something palpably enjoyable about the friction, the drama, the funny banter, and the, for lack of a better word, bloodlust in this event that makes an old fan like me ridiculously happy to see come alive again, and, despite some parts of this event upsetting me a lot, I am still so incredibly excited to work on this and perhaps share some of the ups and downs of the absolute insanity that is Knights Climax!
